Time for using the Library:

SERVICES OFFERED 

Reference section :
The library visits are not merely for borrowing books .Reference books are available for on the spot study. Reading room also houses reputed journals, periodicals; daily newspapers are also available in the library.

Photocopying Facilities :
The college offers the service of a photocopy machine. Students can avail the facility against a nominal charge.

Career Guidance Service :
We have a Career Guidance Cell for the students and others. There are good number of magazines, newspapers making employment news available in the library which help the students to access different employment related news and guidance for building their career. A large number of students regularly access this facility.

Computer Facilities :
We have four computers. All of these are connected with internet. All teachers and students and non-teaching staff also avail this facility. Computerized issue-return system will be started soon. Teachers can access e-resource through INFLIBNET N-LIST mode.

User Education Program:
Most of the students of our College have little knowledge about the way to use the College Library. They are admitted in the College after passing the H.S. Examination from different H.S. Schools. Most of these Schools have hardly any Library or Library facilities. Naturally they do not know how to use the College Library.

The Librarian presents an introductory view about the Central Library at the three or four days meet with the new students of first year class at the beginning of the new session. They are advised how to use the Library, what are rules & regulations of the Library and Open Access System. The Freshers are motivated to use the Library at maximum and they are inspired accordingly.

Newspaper Clipping Services :
The College strives to keep its user-students abreast of contemporary issues by selecting and preserving news items of significance for them. Those who do not pursue the newspapers in details can also keep themselves informed from this initiative.

Display of new arrivals and Posters:
List of new arrivals are readily available in the library for the information of the users. Covers of new books are also carefully displayed to attract the attention of readers. Posters of national/international level seminars, scholarships, grants, courses are regularly displayed in the library notice board.

Departmental Library:

Bengali,Commerce and Economics department has some books for providing assistance to the needy students and they can retain the books upto their final university examination.
